Adoption / Foster Parenting

“He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 113:9

I am an adoptive mother to a very vibrant, energetic and imaginative six year old. I never imagined that adoption would become part of my life’s story, but it has been one of the most extraordinary unexpected blessings that I have ever experienced. We welcomed a new infant foster placement in May of this year, and we are deeply prayerful that we will be able to adopt this little boy. He is the perfect fit for our family, and he has stolen all of our hearts with his sweet little personality. By God’s goodness alone we also welcomed another little girl in July!! To think we were so prayerful for a second placement, and God not only blessed us with that second placement but also a third. The best news is that we will be adopted our little sunshine in November of this year. I can’t wait to share more about her. She is a fire ball, and she definitely takes life by the horns. She just turned 3 years old, but she is 3 going on 13. We celebrated our one year anniversary for our oldest daughter’s adoption in September, and she is more than a little excited to get to experience adoption day from the other side of the judge’s bench. She is a wonderful big sister and true friend to the other children. Please join us praying that God’s hand will bless these new additions, and continue to bless and sustain the family that He built with love. Peace and blessings to all!!
